Study of Organic Fertilizers and Rice Varieties on Rice Production and Methane Emissions in Nutrient-Poor Irrigated Rice Fields

چکیده
The problem of rice farming in Indonesia is the increasing extent nutrient-poor land due to lack addition organic matter and continuously inundated irrigated fields, causing production greenhouse gas emissions, such as methane (CH4), increase. study aims determine impact fertilizers varieties on yield, feasibility fields. used a randomized block design factorial with four replicates. first factor type (compost straw goat manure), second variety (Ciherang, Inpari 20, 30). results showed that productivity 20 (8.02 t·ha?1) was significantly higher than 30 (6.10 Ciherang (6.91 t·ha?1). highest yields Harvest Dry Grain (HDG) Milled (MDG) were (88.23%), (86.94%), (85.04%). Methane (CH4) emissions (56.4 kg h?1 season?1), followed by (40.8 lowest (22.3 season?1). Compared varieties, compost has broad development viability paddy fields (highest R/C ratio break-even point). More research needed (methane, nitrite, carbon dioxide).

15 صفحه اولMethane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice paddy fields
Recent field studies in rice paddy fields in Japan and China have shown that N2O is emitted to the atmosphere not only after the application of nitrogen fertilisers under flooded conditions but also in a period from the final drainage to submergence in the following rice-growing season through nitrification or denitrification. Those results clearly indicate that CH4 and N2O emissions in rice pa...

The demand for rice in India is projected at 128 million tonnes (M t) for the year 2012 and will require a production level of 3,000 kg/ ha...significantly greater than the present average yield of 1,930 kg/ ha. This low level of productivity can be increased substantially by growing high yielding varieties/hybrids and by increasing both the area under balanced fertilizer use and application ra...
